Office Administration


This course is aimed at students who are studying Office Administration; it prepares students for the CXC-CSEC Office Administration exam. This course introduces students to the structure and primary positions in an organisation; it also identifies the skills and attitudes which are needed to make an organisation function effectively. It also looks at business operations and the management of resources. This course provides students with an understanding of the modern office environment; it also looks at processes and technologies that are used to make an office run efficiently.

Topics covered include office orientation, communication, recruitment and orientation, records and information management, reception and hospitality, meetings, travel arrangements, human resource management, accounts and financial services, procurement and inventory management, sales, marketing and customer service, operations, dispatch and transport services.
